The Sadr Region, also referred to as IC 1318 or the Gamma Cygni Nebula

The Sadr Region, also referred to as IC 1318 or the Gamma Cygni Nebula, is the diffuse emission nebula that encircles Sadr (γ Cygni), located at the centre of the cross in Cygnus. This region is one of several nearby nebulous areas, including the Butterfly Nebula and the Crescent Nebula. In addition to the emission nebulae, it features numerous dark nebulae as well.

 

Sadr itself boasts a brightness of around magnitude 2.2. The surrounding nebulous areas are also quite luminous.
