I think one of the biggest dangers in politics today is that ideas which used to seem extreme are starting to sound normal. What worries me is not just that far-right views are out there, but that they are becoming more common in everyday debate. I mention the 1930s and the rise of the Nazi Party in Germany because I think history gives us a warning. Dangerous movements do not always arrive all at once. They can grow slowly while people get used to them. By the time the danger is obvious, a lot of damage may already have been done.

When I look at figures like Donald Trump and Nigel Farage, I see them as part of a bigger pattern. They are not just single people saying shocking things. They represent a kind of politics built on anger, blame, and division. Their message spreads fast because it is repeated again and again through television, social media, YouTube, WhatsApp, Facebook, and the news. When something is repeated often enough, even bad ideas can start to sound normal. That is part of what makes this so dangerous.

The result is a harsher public mood. People seem more divided, less willing to listen, and quicker to see each other as enemies. Politics starts to feel like a fight that never ends. I think that is why it is important to name what is happening clearly. If extreme ideas are treated like common sense, people can slowly stop noticing how harmful they are. For me, this is not just a passing trend. It is a serious problem that affects the kind of society we are becoming.
